  1. I love it! I'm so delighted! I think maniacally happy is the perfect pumpkin for a party.

And I could see cutting the bottom to scoop it out and for the candle...but I should've told you: you cut a round circle in the top with a V sticking down on one part so it's easy to know which direction it fits. And then you take the top off, stick the candle in, and it's easy to carry. But yours looks perfect and it's going to be awesome for your party! Yay!

Also, Halloween in the summer...that could lead to some veeeery skimpy costumes, I would think.

  2. That pumpkin is awesome... do Kiwi's not usually carve pumpkins?

I know the English husband is revolted by the thought of pumpkin pie. Do you guys do the pie thing?

    Have a great Halloween party!

  3. LG.... thank you the pumpkin was a great success at the party. In fact we decided next year we are going to have a family pumpkin carving competion as part of the party. I ended up with at least 20 teenagers here with Bens lot in some rather skimpy outfits lol but they were all really well behaved and the little kids loved climbing all over the teenagers. The Adults had a blast too.

KB No Kiwi's dont do the pumpkin carving but I am planning to change that fact single handedly lol. Every loved the one I did for the party.
No we dont do pumpkin Pie either but again I am going to give making one a try. (using fresh not canned as you cannot get canned pumkin here) I love pumpkin and have even tried pumpkin icecream which was great....kinda sweet nutmegy, tasting but delicious.
